Chris Christie slams Rubio for filibustering at GOP debate: 'You had your chance, Marco. You blew it.'
At Thursday night's GOP presidential debate in South Carolina, Fox Business host Maria Bartiromo asked about how to fix entitlements like Social Security and Medicare. Sens. Ted Cruz (Texas) and Marco Rubio (Fla.) took that as a cue to argue over tax policy and the meaning of a value added tax (VAT). After their argument played out, Gov. Chris Christie (N.J.) jumped in, sarcastically said he hated to interrupt the Senate debate, and promised to return to the question Bartiromo asked. Rubio said that he would be happy to answer the question, buzzer be damned, and Christie shot back: "You had your chance Marco — you blew it."
"I'll answer the entitlement question if you'll answer the Common Core question," Rubio shot back, but the moment had passed. Watch the exchange below. Peter Weber
