Another actor reportedly won't return for a DC universe sequel.

Will Smith is not expected to be back as Deadshot in the upcoming Suicide Squad sequel The Suicide Squad due to scheduling issues, Variety reports. This decision, which comes a month after confirmation that Ben Affleck is not returning as Batman in The Batman, was reportedly "made on amicable terms between both sides with no hard feelings."

Smith had never been confirmed for the film, which is expected to be more of a revamp than a typical sequel featuring a "mostly all-new cast," per The Hollywood Reporter. Still, Warner Bros. was reportedly hoping to at least get Smith back. It has not yet been announced whether Margot Robbie's Harley Quinn will return for the film, although she'll be back in Birds of Prey next year.
