Suicide attack kills 30 in northeastern Nigeria
A triple suicide attack killed 30 people and injured at least 40 more in northeast Nigeria on Sunday night, officials said Monday.
Three bombers detonated their explosives outside of a cinema hall in Konduga, a town in Nigeria's Borno state. People were gathered at the hall to watch a soccer game, Al Jazeera reports.
The owner of the hall reportedly prevented one of the bombers from entering, which led to a heated argument before the bomber detonated the device outside of the establishment; a short distance away, the other two attackers reportedly followed suit.

The high number of fatalities was reportedly a result of emergency responders being unable to reach the remote town quickly. When they did arrive, they were reportedly unequipped to deal with the large number of wounded people.
No one has claimed responsibility for the attack, but terrorist organization Boko Haram, which has long sought to establish a Muslim state in northeast Nigeria is being blamed.
