Trump just attacked London's mayor on Twitter. Mike Pence is visiting the city this week.
President Trump just created another awkward international visit.
On Sunday, London Mayor Sadiq Khan ripped Trump for playing golf and getting a hole-by-hole briefing as Hurricane Dorian wrecked the Bahamas. Trump fired back by calling Khan a "terrible mayor who should stay out of our business" — just days before Vice President Mike Pence was scheduled to visit the city.
Trump on Thursday announced he'd skip a trip to Poland for a World War II commemoration ceremony, saying he'd stay home to monitor the then-swelling Hurricane Dorian. Pence went to the ceremony instead, and so did Khan, who told Politico at the event that Trump was "clearly busy dealing with a hurricane out on the golf course."

Trump's response came just as Pence arrived in Ireland, where he'll be meeting with Irish President Michael Higgins and Taoiseach Leo Varadkar in Dublin, but staying an hour flight away in Trump's Doonberg resort. He'll jet to London later this week to see British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, and while it's not clear if he'll see Khan along the way, it seems even less likely now.
