GOP congressman determined to get Adam Schiff to testify in impeachment hearings

Who will appear as a witness in the upcoming House Judiciary Committee impeachment inquiry hearings? That seems to be the question of the moment.
Republicans have zeroed in on one figure in particular: House Intelligence Committee Chair Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.), who is just wrapping up a report of his own panel's investigation. The top Republican on the Judiciary Committee, Rep. Doug Collins (R-Ga.), told Chris Wallace on Sunday's edition of Fox News Sunday that Schiff is the Republicans' priority.
Collins pointed out that Schiff has compared himself to a special counsel, and that former special counsel Ken Starr testified during the House's impeachment of former President Bill Clinton.

"Schiff has put himself into that position," Collins said. "If he chooses not to [testify], then I really have to question his veracity in what he's putting in his report."
Meanwhile, Rep. Val Demings (D-Fla.), who is on both the House Intelligence and Judiciary Committees, said Democrats are determined to get President Trump and his legal counsel to participate in the proceedings, though so far the White House hasn't taken the committee up on its offer. Tim O'Donnell
