1. Sarri set for Juve - will Lampard return?
Maurizio Sarri looks set to return to Italy with reports claiming that Juventus have reached an agreement with Chelsea.
Sky in Italy says the 60-year-old will sign a three-year deal with the Turin club. The BBC adds that Serie A champions Juve will pay Chelsea a compensation fee of more than £5m.
Chelsea legend Frank Lampard is the clear favourite to replace Sarri at Stamford Bridge.

According to Oddschecker the Derby County boss is priced at 1/8 to be Chelsea’s next manager.
Lampard led Derby to the Championship play-off final where they lost 2-1 to Aston Villa.
Meanwhile, the club’s Twitter account posted a cryptic message today, says the Daily Star. The post said: “On this day in 2001... Frank Lampard became a Blue!”

2. Froome surgery a success
British cyclist Chris Froome will remain in hospital in France for the next few days after his high-speed crash on Wednesday. But doctors have said the six-hour surgery to treat his injuries was a “success”. The four-time Tour de France winner suffered a fractured right femur, broken hip, fractured elbow and fractured ribs. The BBC reports that the 34-year-old is facing six months on the sidelines.
3. Rose leads at Pebble
England’s Justin Rose will take a one-shot lead into today’s second round of the US Open. Rose hit three birdies in the final three holes to card a first-round six-under 65 at Pebble Beach in California. American trio Rickie Fowler, Xander Schauffele and Aaron Wise are joint second with South Africa’s Louis Oostuizen. Rory McIlroy ended the day at three-under while two-time defending champion Brooks Koepka is two-under.

4. Lionesses face ‘historic’ clash at World Cup
After beating Scotland in their opening game of the Fifa Women’s World Cup England take on their other traditional footballing rival, Argentina, in a crucial group D clash at 8pm tonight. Head coach Phil Neville is confident that his side will be able to deal with the “emotion” of the occasion. In group D Scotland are also in action today against Japan at 2pm.

5. Matildas shock Brazil
In yesterday’s Women’s World Cup matches Brazil suffered their first group-stage defeat for 24 years. They were 2-0 up against Australia in Montpellier, but the Matildas hit back to win 3-2. Australia coach Ante Milicic said: “Tonight is one of the finest Australian performances that I’ve seen. The players deserve all the rewards they were given. They never stopped believing. Hopefully this brings our country together.”
6. Kings of the North
The Toronto Raptors have won their first NBA championship after a 4-2 series victory over the Golden State Warriors. In game six of the NBA Finals the Raptors won 114-110 to seal the title and become the first Canadian champions.
7. McLaren consider WEC entry
British racing team McLaren are considering an entry in next year’s World Endurance Championship (WEC), GPBlog.com reports. With Formula 1 and IndyCar already part of the McLaren stable, CEO Zak Brown told the official Le Mans website: “We are seriously looking at bringing McLaren back to endurance racing. If we want to take part in the 2020-21 season, we’ve no time to lose. Which means we’ll be deciding soon.” The 2019 edition of the gruelling 24 Hours of Le Mans race takes place at the historic Circuit de la Sarthe this weekend.

8. Jones to stay on with England
Eddie Jones is set to continue in his role as England head coach even if the team fails to perform at this year’s Rugby World Cup. The Rugby Football Union’s new chief executive Bill Sweeney told The Guardian that Jones is committed to staying for the duration of his contract, which expires in 2021. Sweeney said: “Eddie is contracted to 2021. He said very clearly to me, ‘I’m committed to staying to ’21, I’m not looking to go anywhere else.’ You can only take somebody at their word and he said he is committed to stay till 2021.”
9. United lead chase for Fernandes
Premier League giants Manchester United, Manchester City and Liverpool are battling to sign Sporting Lisbon star Bruno Fernandes. The Sun reports that United “remain ahead” of their rivals in the race to sign the £70m-rated attacking midfielder, who scored 32 goals for Sporting last season.

10. Hazard’s pledge to Real fans
Eden Hazard was finally unveiled at Real Madrid last night and he immediately declared his intention to become the world’s best player. More than 50,000 fans were at the Bernabeu to welcome Hazard to Spain and the former Chelsea star said: “This has been my dream since I was a child and now I’m here. I just want to enjoy this moment. Hopefully I can write another page in the history of the club.”
