Homes evacuated after 'WW1 bomb is brought into pub'
Army called to Pink Geranium in Swansea Valley to remove reported explosive device

Homes in Pontardawe, Wales, were evacuated last night when someone reportedly walked into a local pub with a suspected World War I bomb.
Stunned customers raised the alarm and police cordoned off the area surrounding the Pink Geranium in the Swansea Valley town, reports the Daily Mail.
An Army bomb disposal team was called to remove the device and just after midnight, police said it had been taken away and the area declared safe.

A worker from the Golden Triangle Chinese takeaway opposite the pub told the South Wales Evening News the police had "blocked the road off just up from us".
They added: "No one had been in to tell us what was going on but we are not really concerned. There were lots of people walking about or watching what is going on."
South Wales Police said: "We are able to confirm that the device found earlier in Pontardawe has now been removed by bomb disposal and the area declared safe.
"We would like to thank the public and local residents for their patience."
One tweeter claimed the device was actually uncovered by the owner of the pub who found it while digging.
