Police originally gave the arrested man’s age as 41, but that was later corrected to 50, the Guardian says.
The incident occurred during the morning rush hour on 5 May. The CCTV footage was released this week, quickly spreading on social media and triggering articles about rage-filled runners elbowing pedestrians, thumping cars and – in one instance – even screaming at a duck.
The arrest follows a public appeal for information about the man, who allegedly continued running across the bridge. He returned about 15 minutes later and was confronted by the woman but did not acknowledge her.
