‘Gay’ penguin couple welcome their first child

A same-sex penguin couple have successfully hatched a baby chick in an Australian aquarium. The chick was was born weighing just over 3oz at the Sea Life Sydney Aquarium.
Staff at the aquarium had noticed that the couple - named Sphen and Magic the Gentoo – were building a nest of pebbles, so they game them dummy egg to look after. Later, they were given real egg. The resultant chick has been named Sphengic.

Police are probing allegations that a high school student blended the cremated ashes of a grandparent into homemade cookies and shared them with classmates.
The biscuits were eaten by at least nine youngsters at the Da Vinci Charter Academy, near Sacramento. Cremated human remains are not poisonous, but police said: “There could be some emotional issues experienced.”
Bride admits she secretly fattened up bridesmaids
An Australian bride has revealed that she secretly fattened up her bridesmaids with a fake slimming smoothie to make sure she looked best at her wedding. The woman said that she “set about making sure they looked as ordinary as possible” by feeding them “mega-weight gain protein powder” but telling them it was a slimming aid. Looking back, she said felt a “twinge of guilt”.
