Come home, Pogba
The Daily Mirror says that Juventus are confident they can beat Real Madrid to the signing of Paul Pobga. Manchester United star Pogba previously played for Juve and the Italian champions want him to return “home” to Turin.
Metro adds that the French World Cup winner prefers a reunion with Juventus over a move to the Spanish capital.
Jones wields the axe
England head coach Eddie Jones names his Rugby World Cup training squad today and according to the Daily Mail there’s no place for former captains Dylan Hartley and Chris Robshaw.
Hooker Hartley has failed to recover from a knee injury, The Times reports, while flanker Robshaw missed the autumn internationals after knee surgery in October.
Scrum-half Danny Care is also expected to be left out of the training squad.
