The majority of today’s front pages were devoted to the unfolding aftermath of the Easter Sunday terror attacks in Sri Lanka.
“A nation broken,” said the Daily Mirror, while The Times’ led with an image from the funeral of three family members all killed in the attack.
As the island nation continues to mourn, the government is coming under increasing scrutiny over what Metro’s front page terms “bungles chances to stop carnage”, after it emerged that authorities were warned that jihadis were plotting a terror attack two weeks earlier.
