Jeremy Clarkson to be a character in Amazon Prime’s The Grand Tour Game
Get behind the wheel of the show’s most luxurious - and bizarre - vehicles later this year

Jeremy Clarkson will be making his debut as a playable video game character later this year, as Amazon has announced plans to launch The Grand Tour Game on the Playstation 4 and Xbox One.
Unveiled at the Gamescom show in Germany, the racing game will put players in the shoes of presenters Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May, and let them drive some of the star cars from the show.
Judging by the trailer, players can get behind the wheel of the McLaren P1 hypercar, Porsche 918 Spyder and the all-electric Rimac Concept One.

It also appears players can drive some of the bizarre vehicles the show creates for its grand challenges, including the compact fire engine May drove in the Croatia episode in the second series.
It’s not just about the cars, either.
According to Metro, gamers can use Mario Kart-like power-ups to slow down their opponents in the game’s four-player split screen mode. For instance, using Clarkson’s “More Horsepowers” power-up will give players a temporary speed boost.
“It’s a video game featuring me, the crashy one, and the slow one. That’s all you need to know,” said Clarkson.

“If you've always wanted to come on the road with us, this is as close as you’ll ever get. Unless you kidnap James and steal his face.”
Meanwhile, Hammond joked: “I live in the deep countryside, so frankly I’m impressed by anything that runs on electricity. But I have to admit this game is particularly brilliant, especially the four-player split-screen.”
Amazon has yet to give an official release date for The Grand Tour Game. However, Eurogamer expects the game to launch in December to coincide with the release of the third series on Amazon Prime.
