Man City transfer news: Sergio Aguero issues plea over his future
3 March
Fresh from bagging a brace in Wednesday's 5-1 thrashing of Huddersfield in the FA Cup fifth-round replay, Sergio Aguero now feels brazen enough to discuss his future at the Etihad, saying he would stay at the club, if only they would ask him to.
Speculation has been increasing in recent weeks that the Argentine marksman will be off at the end of the season, after falling out of favour with manager Pep Guardiola and disgruntled at losing his place to new signing Gabriel Jesus last month.

But with his young rival out injured Aguero has seized on his misfortune to remind Guardiola of his goalscoring instincts. The Independent reports that, in an interview with Spanish radio station Onda Cero, Aguero was asked about rumours linking him with Real Madrid next season.
"I do not want to think about what will happen to my future," he said. "I have three months to give my best and, as I always said, in June it will be seen." He then explained his desire for next season, in defiance of gossip suggesting Guardiola would offload him. "My intention is to stay. The club can say what it wants but in June they will have to meet with me."
Meanwhile French outlet Telefoot carries comments made by the father of Monaco star Fabinho, who recently has been mooted as a summer target for both Manchester clubs.
The 23-year-old defender has been in eye-catching form for the club this season, and both Guardiola and Jose Mourinho are said to be stalking the young blocker. "We have talked to Manchester City, Manchester United and Arsenal," said Jose Fabinho. "We have even been approached by Barcelona, but it didn't go any further."
Asked if his son had any preference as to where he would like to play his football next season, he said: "We like Manchester United and the work of [Jose] Mourinho, but we have a little soft spot for City."
Man City transfer news: Lindelof could spark Man Utd war
1 March
Manchester City have joined the hunt for Victor Lindelof reports Talksport, with the broadcaster claiming that the Sky Blues will make a move for the sought-after Benfica defender in the summer transfer window.
Up until now Manchester United have made all the running, and the Red Devils tried to lure him from Portugal in January's window. Although their bid failed United boss Jose Mourinho has reportedly "set his heart on adding the Sweden international to the ranks at Old Trafford" and another offer will be tabled at the end of this season.
But according to sources in Portugal, Pep Guardiola has also taken a fancy to the 22-year-old Lindelhof and will try and gazump Mourinho in the summer.
But it seems that Lindelof is flavour of the month, and Real Madrid could also move in on the defender, with Zinedine Zidane also "keen" on the Swedish stopper.
According to BBC Sport Guardiola will decide whether to bring back Joe Hart to the Etihad at the end of the season. The 29-year-old gloveman was loaned to Torino in August after the Spaniard had made it clear he didn't think much of Hart's ability with the ball at his feet and speculation has been rife in recent weeks as to what will happen to him next season with Liverpool mentioned as a possible suitor.
The Beeb reports that Guardiola is "so happy" with Willy Caballero and Claudio Bravo that he has yet to address Hart's future. "We will talk about it at the end of the season," he said.
Finally, The Sun says that Gael Clichy wants to stay in England even if he's released by City in the summer. The 31-year-old defender is out of contract at the Etihad in June and a City source told the Sun: "Gael wants to stay in England if he can... he has a young family here. There has been interest in him from France. He still believes he has something to offer the Prem."

Man City transfer news: £51m to land Monaco star Mbeppe
27 February
The race to sign Monaco marksman Kylian Mbappe is intensifying, claims The Sun, with the paper reporting that City boss Pep Guardiola has made the teenage sensation his "top target" this summer.
The 18-year-old has shot to prominence this season in Ligue 1, scoring 11 goals in 24 appearances and helping his side into the last 16 of the Champions League.
Having caught the eye against City on Tuesday, Mbappe is now being circled by Guardiola, who also has his beady eye on three other Monaco players - midfielder Thomas Lemar and full-backs Fabinho and Benjamin Mendy. They would set back City £30m apiece, claims the Sun, but according to Metro, it will require £51m to prise Mbappe from Monaco.
Compared to a young Thierry Henry by Arsene Wenger, the teenager is also being eyed up by Tottenham and Arsenal, while Real Madrid and Juventus have also sent their scouts to check out the precocious youngster.
Apparently Monaco are "willing to listen to offers" but only if they meet their eye-watering asking price.
Meanwhile City have been dealt what Metro calls "a blow" in their pursuit of Samir Handanovic. The Sky Blues have been linked with a summer move for the Inter Milan goalkeeper but apparently the Serie A outfit are determined to keep the 32-year-old at the San Siro and consequently they will extend his deal by another year, to 2020, securing his loyalty with a juicy salary increase.
Man City transfer news: Guardiola keen on Dani Alves
24 February
Manchester City "could move" for Juventus defender Dani Alves in the summer, says the Daily Mail as Pep Guardiola ponders a reunion with former Barcelona full-back.
Alves and City gaffer Pep Guardiola enjoyed many happy times together at the Camp Nou and the Brazilian right-back was mooted as a possible Sky Blues target last season, but the 33-year-old went on to join Juventus.
Recently recovered from a cracked bone in his leg, Alves has recently been linked with a big-money move to China in the summer but Guardiola believes the South American still has much to offer at the highest level in European football.
But the Mail says a "stumbling block" could be Alves' wage demands which are currently believed to be in the region of £120,000-a-week. That's too much for a man of his age, even if he did score for Juventus in their Champions League win over Porto this week, and the Mail says the move will happen only in Alves "makes himself available at the right price".
Man City transfer news: Race to sign unhappy Isco is back on
22 February
The chase is back on for Isco with the 24-year-old playmaker once again said to be ready to leave Real Madrid at the end of this season.
According to the International Business Times, which cites Spanish publication Marca as its source, Isco is growing despondent at his lack of first-team opportunities and is now set to look for a fresh challenge.
It's not the first time that the midfielder has been rumoured to be disgruntled at life at Real but the speculation strengthened at the weekend when he said: "I am worried about having [playing] minutes. A player's career is short, so by the end of the season I will make a decision because it is my future that is at stake."
It's reported that Isco's contract expires in June 2018 and although Real would love to tie him down to a new contract, that's unlikely to happen if they can't guarantee him regular playing time.
If that is the case, the Spanish giants won't want to see him leaving on a free transfer when his contract expires and will instead be forced to sell in the summer. Marca says City are "leading the race to secure his services" although Chelsea, Juventus and Barcelona are also monitoring the situation.

Man City transfer news: Keeper hunt for Donnarumma or Neuer
21 February
He's 17, stands 6ft 5in and is already rated one of the best glovemen in Italy. But if Manchester City are serious about reeling in Gianluigi Donnarumma then the bait will have to be big.
According to Caughtoffside.com, who take their information from Italian outlet Calciomercato, the AC Milan keeper is being chased by City, Juventus and Real Madrid. Not surprisingly that's delighted self-styled superagent Mino Raiola, the man who masterminded Paul Pogba’s world-record transfer to Manchester United in the summer.
It's alleged that Raiola has told Milan "the figure his client needs to receive if he is to commit his future to the club". So what is it exactly? The teenage sensation wants to pocket a cool £3.4m-a-year, which comes out at more than £65,000-a-week, a huge sum for someone so young. But Milan know that if they don't meet his alleged demands, City and Real Madrid are likely to make their move in the summer.
Then again, according to the Daily Express it's not a green gloveman that City are eyeing but one of the world's most experienced shotstoppers. The paper claims that Guardiola is "desperate to sign" Bayern Munich legend Manuel Neuer, a player he knows well from his time in charge of the German club.
Sources in Germany say that the 30-year-old may be ready for a new venture after six years at the Allianz Arena and the Express says the City boss is "willing to spend big" to land Neuer.
