Man City transfer news: Kompany and Aguero futures in doubt
8 May
Pep Guardiola's mission to rebuild Manchester City in his own image continues. Having cast Joe Hart into the wilderness and with Yaya Toure expected to leave this summer, the manager has done little to make Vincent Kompany feel secure at the Etihad, while Sergio Aguero's future also remains in doubt.
Despite Kompany's recent return to fitness – he has has started City's last five games as he looks to put three years of injury troubles behind him - Guardiola will not change his plans to overhaul the defence as "there remain serious doubts about [Kompany's] ability to last an entire campaign", says the paper.

"Guardiola believes the Belgian international has made a major breakthrough following the calf and muscular problems that have plagued him. But he concedes he cannot gamble on the City captain's fitness next season. Leonardo Bonucci, Virgil van Dijk and Aymeric Laporte are on the list of centre backs Guardiola is considering in a summer when he plans to overhaul his defence."
Aguero could also be on the way out, says Goal.com. Although the striker has "laughed off" talk of a move to Man United, he has been warned he will "no longer be City's undisputed first-choice striker" next season. As a result, it remains a possibility that he could quit the Etihad in the coming months, says the website.
Meanwhile, Toure is being lined up by Turkish side Galatasaray, says TalkSport. The Ivorian midfielder is not expected to be offered a new contract at the end of the season and will need to find a new club.
"With Wesley Sneijder nearing an exit, Galatasaray are on the lookout for a new playmaker and believe the 33-year-old Toure is the ideal replacement," says the broadcaster.

Man City transfer news: Butland joins Pickford and Ederson on keeper shortlist
05 May
Pep Guardiola has added a new name to his goalkeeping wishlist, says The Sun, with the paper claiming that Jack Butland has joined Sunderland stopper Jordan Pickford and Benfica gloveman Ederson as the City manager's "top targets".
It's common knowledge in Manchester that Guardiola is after new blood between the sticks with neither Claudio Bravo and Willy Caballero meeting his expectations. Still convinced that Joe Hart isn't the solution, Guardiola will pick one of Butland, Pickford or Ederson next month as he looks to solve his goalkeeping problems.
Butland, currently with Stoke, has been scouted by City spies in recent months and the 24-year-old is ready to make the move if required. The Sun says that Caballero, out of contract in a few weeks, is "unlikely to receive a new deal", while Hart will be allowed to leave permanently when he returns from his loan spell with Torino providing a club meets City £30m asking price.
Meanwhile the Daily Express says that City have lost out to Chelsea in their quest to snare Daishawn Redan. Described by the paper as a "prodigy", the 16-year-old striker is regarded as one of Dutch football's brightest stars and City, Arsenal and Manchester United have all monitored his progress this season at Ajax. But so have Chelsea, and the Express says that the Holland Under-17 star has agreed terms with the Premier League leaders.
Man City transfer news: Mbappe sparks £110m Real Madrid war
4 May
The gloves are off between Real Madrid and Manchester City, reports Talksport, with the broadcaster claiming that the two powerhouses are "ready for a sensational summer transfer fight" over Kylian Mbappe.
The 18-year-old has taken Europe by storm this season to become, in the words of Talksport, "the most sought-after young player in the world football".
Whether that's strictly true is a moot point but there's no doubt the teenager has talent, scoring 24 goals for Monaco this season, although he failed the find the net against Juventus in the first leg of their Champions League semi-final on Wednesday evening.
But one bad game does not destroy a reputation, and Man City are ready to go head-to-head with Real Madrid for the right to sign Mbappe.
City boss Pep Guardiola got a taste of the youngster's skill last month when Monaco knocked City of Europe's showpiece tournament and that's made the Spaniard determined to bring him to the Etihad next season. But he won't come cheap with Talksport saying that Monaco are demanding "a staggering £110m", which would shatter the world transfer fee of £89m, which Man United paid Juventus to sign Paul Pogba last summer.
Meanwhile the Daily Mirror says that Nolito is ready to walk out on the Sky Blues in search of more game time.
The 30-year-old forward arrived at the Etihad last summer in a £13.8m deal from La Liga side Celta Vigo but the FA Cup tie away to Huddersfield has been his only start of 2017 and he's now questioning his future at City.
The Mirror claims he is "disillusioned with his lack of action" and when asked about rumours linking him with a return to Vigo he replied: "We will see what happens… the only thing I want to do is play, and if I can't do it here I will try to do it [elsewhere] and be happy."
Man City transfer news: Coman deal could net Bayern £32m
3 May
For once the word "sensational" isn't out of place in The Sun, with the paper on the money with its description of Manchester City's bid to sign Kingsley Coman.
The 20-year-old has spent the past two seasons at Bayern Munich on loan from Juventus, and last week the German powerhouse activated the clause in his contract that allowed them to sign him permanently for £18m.
However, he may not be spending much longer in Germany, because Bayern smell a quick buck and, according to the Sun, "could sell on the French winger to Manchester City for a huge profit".
Apparently the Bundesliga club are aware of the Sky Blues' interest in Coman and they are ready to let them have the young wideman in return for a whopping £50m - a deal that would earn them £32m profit.
The paper says that City gaffer Pep Guardiola "has a strong relationship with Coman", having been the man responsible for setting up the loan move from Juventus in 2015 when he was in charge at Bayern.
Carlo Ancelotti, the coach who replaced Guardiola at the Allianz Arena doesn't seem to view Coman as first-choice material and that's why he is ready to offload him to City.
Man City transfer news: Iheanacho key to Aubameyang deal
2 May
Has Pep Guardiola finally devised a way to prise Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from Borussia Dortmund? The Manchester Evening News thinks and claims that the Sky Blues boss "is willing to include Kelechi Iheanacho in a player-plus-cash bid" for the Gabon goal machine.
The 27-year-old Aubameyang has scored an incredible 35 goals in just 42 games for the Bundesliga outfit this season, and that's revived interest from a host of clubs who tried, and failed, to sign the striker last summer.
Man City, United, Chelsea and Real Madrid have all been linked with Aubameyang recently but the MEN notes that sources in Iheanacho's home country of Nigeria believe he could be key to Guardiola's renewed pursuit of the striker, valued at more than £60m.
City aim to secure Aubameyang's services by offering Iheanacho, who last started a match for City on 2 January, to Borussia Dortmund as part of the deal. The 20-year-old Nigerian is reportedly ready for a new challenge and Guardiola hopes it will be in the Bundesliga with Aubameyang moving in the other direction.
Man City transfer news: Will Isco leave Real Madrid?
26 April
Talks have been held between the Manchester City and Real Madrid midfielder Isco, says the Manchester Evening News, reigniting rumours that they are determined to land the 20-year-old.
The young playmaker is reportedly unsettled at the Bernabeu after failing to nail down a spot in the Madrid starting line-up - and has been forced to scrap with James Rodriguez for appearances off the bench.
The MEN claims that City officials "have met" with Isco over a potential move to England. Citing Spanish outlet Marca as their source, the paper goes on to say that City discussed the matter with Isco's old man, Paco Alcaron, who is also his agent, and he let slip that his son has "become fed up with not playing".
But the paper admits that according to other sources in Spain Isco is ready to extend his stay at the Bernabeu. "He is out of contract at the end of the season but reports suggest that the 20-year-old will double his pay and commit to Real until 2022 with a new deal which will see him earning £96,000 a week."
