Man City spree continues with Danilo and Benjamin Mendy
Pep Guardiola to bring in two new full-backs and offload Samir Nasri as he overhauls the squad
The Manchester City summer shopping spree shows no sign of abating with Danilo the latest player to sign for the Citizens.
Having snapped up Ederson and Kyle Walker in recent weeks, City have now used their official website to announce the arrival of Real Madrid defender Danilo.
The 26-year-old Brazilian playmaker has signed a five-year deal and has already linked up with his new teammates on the club’s pre-season tour of the States.

"I am very, very happy to be joining Manchester City," said Danilo, whose move is subject to his receiving his work permit. "There has been strong interest from other clubs, but it has always been my ambition to play for Pep Guardiola. As soon as I heard of his interest, I knew immediately I wanted to be a City player."
City’s Director of Football, Txiki Begiristain, who helped seal the deal, was similarly gushing, saying of the club’s newest addition: "Danilo is a fine player who offers great versatility to our squad. He can operate in several different roles in both defence and midfield, increasing Pep’s options ahead of the new season."
According to BBC Sport, the fee that passed between the two clubs is believed to be £26.5m, taking City's spending for the summer so far to £150m.
Meanwhile, BT Sport believes that there will soon be another announcement from the Etihad with the club close to finalising the transfer of Benjamin Mendy from Monaco. The broadcaster says that the departure of City left-back Aleksandar Kolarov to Roma has "cleared the decks" for Mendy’s arrival and it’s believed that the French champions will receive £52m in return for the defender.
Finally the Daily Express says that Pep Guardiola is looking to offload Samir Nasri because the French midfielder "has become an outcast within the Manchester City squad".
Nasri spent last season on loan in Spain with Sevilla but he's on tour in the States with City and the Express says that Guardiola is using the trip "to put him in the shop window in the hope someone will sign him".
The problem is the Frenchman's £170,000-a-week wages, which are deterring potential suitors. All the while Nasri has allegedly become an unpopular member of the Man City squad because of a what source describes to the Express as his "arrogant attitude".
