Juventus line up £120m bid for Paul Pogba and Arsenal face battle for Kieran Tierney

Premier League transfer gossip and rumours
Juve prepare Pogba bid
Juventus are preparing a £120m bid to bring Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba back to Turin.
The Sunday Times reports that the Italian giants are desperate to prise the Frenchman from Old Trafford, “as part of an audacious strategy to win the Champions League”.

While Juve have dominated Serie A in recent years, success has eluded them in Europe’s showpiece tournament, and that’s why they are ready to break the bank to bring Pogba back to the club.
They sold Pogba to United in 2016 for £92m, and while his form in the three years since has been patchy, Juventus believe they can get the best out of him.
But the Sunday Times says that any bid is unlikely to succeed with United “resolved to resist any efforts to prise Pogba away from them”.
That’s despite recent comments by the player’s agent, Mino Raiola, who said that everyone at Old Trafford “knows the willingness of Paul to move on. We are in the process of that”.

Arsenal face tussle for Tierney
Arsenal are facing increased competition from Napoli as the race to sign Celtic full-back Kieran Tierney intensifies. Last month it appeared that the Gunners were on course to land the 22-year-old defender, but with Napoli set to sell their current left-back, Mario Rui, they are now eyeing up Tierney as a replacement. Arsenal’s initial offer of £15m was rejected by Scottish champions Celtic and if Napoli meet the £25m asking price then they will beat the Gunners to the prize. (The Daily Telegraph)
Maguire in the sights
Manchester United “have a clear run at Harry Maguire” after Manchester City dropped out of the race to sign the 26-year-old defender. However, there is a catch. Namely, that Leicester will only sell for £85m in “hard cash”. United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is determined to bring the England star to Old Trafford but he will have to improve on his opening offer of £70m plus Argentine Marcos Rojo. The Foxes are not interested in “make-weight cast-offs”, and will accept nothing less than a wad of wonga for Maguire. (The Sun)
Mustafi makeover
Arsenal defender Shkodran Mustafi has hinted on social media that he could quit the Emirates this summer. The 27-year-old has changed his Instagram profile picture so that he is no longer wearing an Arsenal shirt and, furthermore, he’s removed “Player for Arsenal” from his bio. (talkSPORT)
De Gea set for new deal
Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea is on the verge of signing a new five-year contract at Old Trafford. According to reports the Spaniard is ready to agree a deal worth £350,000 a week. (Daily Mirror)
Hudson-Odoi a priority for Lampard
New Chelsea manager Frank Lampard says keeping 18-year-old Callum Hudson-Odoi at Stamford Bridge will be one of his top priorities. Lampard said: “I will pay a lot of care and a lot of attention to Callum to try to get him to stay.” (Daily Mail)
Arnie heads to China
West Ham United have reportedly completed the £22.4m sale of striker Marko Arnautovic to Chinse club Shanghai SIPG. The 30-year-old has passed a medical and the deal will be made official this week. (Sky Sports)
Lopez clause met
West Ham could replace Marko Arnautovic with Celta Vigo striker Maxi Gomez. It’s reported that the Hammers have met the €50m (£44.8m) release clause in Gomez’s contract. (Sky Sports)
James to replace Wan-Bissaka?
Crystal Palace are lining up a move for Chelsea’s Reece James as a replacement for Aaron Wan-Bissaka, who has joined Manchester United. Palace will have to be patient in any move for right-back James as Chelsea are appealing their Fifa transfer ban. (The Sun)
Inter patient over Lukaku
Inter Milan remain interested in signing Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku, but CEO Giuseppe Marotta says the Italian club “cannot rush” a deal. Marotta said: “The transfer market is a work in progress. We are working hard to get the best squad possible for the new season. We have clear ideas but we need to be patient. We have important goals and transfer targets in mind.” (Sky Sports)
Spurs plan cash-plus-Alderweireld bid for Zaniolo
Tottenham Hotspur are keen on signing Roma midfielder Nicolo Zaniolo and have reportedly offered the Italian club £20.6m plus defender Toby Alderweireld for the 20-year-old. (Daily Mail)
Mings to make record move to Villa
Aston Villa are set to make Bournemouth defender Tyrone Mings their club record signing. Mings played on loan at Villa Park last season and is poised to sign for the Premier League new boys in a £26.5m deal. (Daily Mail)
Lemina wants Saints exit
Southampton midfielder Mario Lemina has told manager Ralph Hasenhuttl that he wants to leave the club. The 25-year-old said: “We have very good discussions with the club. We are in agreement. If I don’t feel good in this project, I can leave.” (Daily Mirror)
