Paul Pogba: Manchester United to Barcelona
While Real Madrid line up moves for Eden Hazard and Christian Eriksen, their La Liga rivals Barcelona also remain keen on a Premier League star.
The Catalans have been linked with Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba over the past few weeks and reportedly had a cash-plus-players bid rejected by the Red Devils. However, The Daily Telegraph reports today that Barca will continue to monitor the French midfielder’s uneasy relationship with United and boss Jose Mourinho.

United insist that World Cup winner Pogba is not for sale, but the Daily Mail says that Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu has not ruled out another bid before the Spanish transfer window closes on 31 August.
Sarri regret over Higuain
Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri is regretting not signing Gonzalo Higuain, after the Argentine striker left Juventus for AC Milan on a season-long loan deal. Sarri told Sky Sports Italia: “Higuain? It’s a little regret but in the end, everyone after the market has a few little regrets.” Higuain revealed that he chose Milan over Chelsea because “he felt more wanted at the Italian club”, the Daily Star reports. The 30-year-old said: “I have huge respect for Sarri, but he was the only one who wanted me at Chelsea. Here at Milan, everyone wanted me.”
Pep: City want Sterling to stay
Raheem Sterling started the Premier League season with a goal in Manchester City’s 2-0 win against Arsenal - a performance that was praised by boss Pep Guardiola. The England forward is yet to agree a new deal with the champions but Guardiola is keen for the 23-year-old to stay. The City chief said: “We are delighted with him and would like Raheem to stay. We’ll do our effort to make him feel we count on him. And we count on him.” (The Daily Telegraph)
Klopp decision: Karius or Mignolet to go?
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp may have to decide whether Loris Karius or Simon Mignolet leave the club this month. Both goalkeepers face being back-up to new No. 1 Alisson Becker, and bids are expected for the duo before the European transfer window closes. Turkish club Besiktas are reportedly keen on a loan deal for Karius, while Mignolet is a target for Italian side Napoli. (The Sun)
David Ospina: Arsenal to Besiktas
Turkish club Besiktas have also been linked with another Premier League goalkeeper, Arsenal’s David Ospina. The Turkish side are reported to be close to sealing a loan deal for the Colombia internationa,l with a view to signing him permanently next summer. (The Sun)
Ronaldo wants Milinkovic-Savic at Juve
Cristiano Ronaldo is keen for Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic to join him at Juventus. Ronaldo joined Juve from Real Madrid this summer and is said to have “demanded” that the Italian champions make a move for the Serbian international. Milinkovic-Savic was previously a target for Manchester United and Chelsea. (Daily Star)
Doucoure won’t rule out Watford exit
Abdoulaye Doucoure insists he is “very happy” after signing a five-year deal at Watford, but the French midfielder has not ruled out leaving the Vicarage Road club in the future. Doucoure was linked with Liverpool, Arsenal and Tottenham this summer. (Watford Observer)
Marcos Rojo: Manchester United to Fenerbahce
Manchester United defender Marcos Rojo could be on his way to Turkish club Fenerbahce. United and Fenerbahce are reportedly holding talks over a loan deal for the Argentine, who was a summer target for Everton. (Daily Mirror)
