The Decathlon: #GlazersOut and #KroenkeOut campaigns trend on Twitter
Ten things from the world of sport on Thursday 20 June
1. EPL clubs want owners out
There was a social media storm brewing last night as supporters of both Manchester United and Arsenal vented their frustrations against their club owners.
United fans started a Twitter campaign using the #GlazersOut hashtag and at one point it was the No.1 trend worldwide.
SportBible reports that thousands of United fans are part of the movement to get the Glazer family out of Old Trafford.

Jack Kenmare writes: “Protests have been made inside and outside of Old Trafford in years gone by, with many adorning the yellow and green colours of the original Newton Heath club as a sign of their dislike towards the current owners.
“But this is the biggest indication yet that some supporters have finally had enough.”
It’s a similar situation with Arsenal fans who are unhappy with how American businessman Stan Kroenke is running the north London club.
Following the United fans’s lead, the #KroenkeOut hashtag was also trending on social media platform Twitter.
Football.London’s Phil Spencer said: “Stan Kroenke may be the majority shareholder of Arsenal but his fans are certainly in the minority.”
2. Pilot arrested over Sala crash death
A 64-year-old private pilot from York has been arrested over the death of Premier League footballer Emiliano Sala. The Argentine striker died when his light aircraft crashed into the English Channel in January. David Henderson was supposed to fly the plane but arranged for David Ibbotson to take over. Ibbotson was not qualified to fly at night and his body is yet to be found.
3. Vettel hearing tomorrow
Ferrari’s request for a review into Sebastian Vettel’s Canadian Grand Prix time penalty will be heard in France tomorrow. Sky Sports reports that the hearing at the Formula 1 French Grand Prix will be held at 1.15pm (BST) between the practice one and practice two sessions.

4. Argentina bottom of Copa group
Argentina’s hopes of reaching the quarter-finals of the 2019 Copa America were severely hit after they were held to a 1-1 draw by Paraguay. Lionel Messi scored a penalty but the draw means that Argentina only have one point from their opening two matches and are left bottom of group B. On Sunday they will need to beat Qatar in their final group match and hope that Colombia defeat Paraguay.

Included in the squad are four uncapped players: Alex Dombrandt (Harlequins), Lewis Ludlam (Northampton Saints), Ruaridh McConnochie (Bath Rugby) and Val Rapava Ruskin (Gloucester Rugby). However, former captains Dylan Hartley and Chris Robshaw miss out along with Danny Care and Nathan Hughes.

7. Kiwis back on top
New Zealand returned to the top of the Cricket World Cup standings after a four-wicket victory against South Africa at Edgbaston yesterday. Kiwi captain Kane Williamson scored 106 not out and his knock was described by the BBC as “one of the great World Cup innings”. Australia are in action against Bangladesh today.
8. Pogba and Jorginho to Juve?
Manchester United’s Paul Pogba and Chelsea’s Jorginho are both linked with Italian champions Juventus. Pogba previously played for Juve while Jorginho is reportedly keen on joining his former Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri in Turin.

9. World Cup heartbreak for Scotland
Scotland are out of the Fifa Women’s World Cup after a 3-3 draw against Argentina left them bottom of group D. Shelley Kerr’s side gave themselves a huge opportunity to reach the last 16 by taking a three-goal lead with 20 minutes to go. But Argentina hit back with three goals, including a controversial 94th-minute penalty. Kerr was fuming with officials after the dramatic late VAR decisions. Scotland head coach Kerr said: “I’m gutted for the players, gutted for the support but I have to say the officiating was really, really poor. Some of the decisions were appalling to say the least.”
10. Lionesses roar into last 16
It was “all White on the night” for England as they finished top of group D at the Fifa Women’s World Cup. The Lionesses were “White hot”, says The Daily Telegraph, as two goals from Ellen White secured Phil Neville’s side a 2-0 victory over Japan. In the round of 16 on Sunday England will play against one of the best third-placed teams - China, New Zealand, Cameroon, Chile or Thailand.
