World Cup group H: Colombia and Japan through, Senegal out
Group H results and final standings
Colombia and Japan are through to the World Cup round of 16 but it was heartbreak for Senegal who miss out because of the fair play conduct rule.
Colombia finished top of group H after their 1-0 win against Senegal but Japan sneaked through despite losing 1-0 to Poland.
Japan and Senegal ended on the same points and had the exact same records for goal difference and number of goals scored.

Fifa.com explains that after points, goal difference and goals scored, the final positions would then be determined on fair play conduct. Senegal had two more yellow cards than Japan.
