Premier League preview: Liverpool ace Mohamed Salah is fit to face Man City

Liverpool vs. Manchester City (Sunday, 4pm)

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has confirmed that top scorer Mohamed Salah will be available to face Premier League leaders Manchester City at Anfield.

The Egyptian has missed the past two games because of a groin injury, but Klopp says he is back in full training with the Reds. Klopp told Sky Sports: “If nothing happens in this moment, Mo is back. He is training completely normal. That is of course very important for us.”

When the two teams met at the Etihad in September Pep Guardiola’s side won the game 5-0. But the City boss does not expect a repeat result on Sunday. He said: “I don’t think so. It’s far away, the past, a lot has happened. It could have been different, every game is completely different.”

Guardiola also revealed that striker Gabriel Jesus could return from injury in two to three weeks.

Chelsea vs. Leicester City (tomorrow, 3pm)

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has not ruled out leaving the club after media reports this morning said he is set to leave in the summer.

Massimiliano Allegri and Luis Enrique are both rumoured to be favourites for the Chelsea job should Conte depart at the end of the season.

Conte, whose side face Leicester tomorrow, told the BBC: “Everything is possible. I have a year contract. Anything is possible. Our job is very difficult. Everything can change.”

Tottenham Hotspur vs. Everton (tomorrow, 5.30pm)

Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino has confirmed that Toby Alderweireld (hamstring), Danny Rose (knee) and Harry Winks (ankle) will miss the home clash against Everton.

Pochettino says the game against Everton will be “tough” but a win over the Toffees would be a “massive” result for his side. He said: “It will be tough, as Everton have good players and a great manager. For us, it’s a massive three points that we need to win.”

Everton boss Sam Allardyce has revealed that talks are ongoing with Arsenal striker Theo Walcott. He said: “I think you are all aware of our interest in Theo. If that is possible to get over the line, I would be delighted but obviously there is negotiations that are happening at the moment.”

AFC Bournemouth vs. Arsenal (1.30pm, Sunday)

Arsenal may be away at Bournemouth this weekend but there was only one major talking point in Arsene Wenger’s pre-match press conference - the future of striker Alexis Sanchez.

Reports this week have linked Sanchez with moves to Manchester City, Manchester United and Liverpool, but Gunners boss Wenger said there was no development in the transfer saga.

Wenger told Sky Sports: “I cannot tell you much more at the moment about the situation. Nothing is really concrete. It’s not that I don’t want to inform you. I don't want to give you wrong information. At the moment, nothing is decided one way or another.”
