The Revenant, Mad Max: Fury Road lead Oscar nominations

Alejandro González Iñárritu's The Revenant leads the Oscar nominations with 12 bids, the Academy announced Thursday morning. Iñárritu's Birdman won best film in 2015. Mad Max: Fury Road also dominated the nominations, with 10 bids including best director and best film. The Oscar nominations for best film went to Spotlight, The Revenant, Mad Max: Fury Road, The Big Short, Bridge of Spies, Brooklyn, Room, and The Martian.
