Iowa coffee shop mocks obstructionist senator with 'Do Your Job' menu


Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) has staunchly refused a hearing or vote on President Obama's Supreme Court nominee, Merrick Garland, although he at long last relented and agreed to meet Chief Judge Garland this morning for breakfast. Grassley, like many other Senate Republicans, says he believes the next president should choose who will fill the vacancy left by the death of Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia. However, Grassley recently admitted that, "If I can meet with a dictator in Uganda, I can surely meet with a decent person in America."
So here we are.
One downtown Des Moines coffee shop, though, is not amused by Sen. Grassley's apparent antics. Ritual Café went as far as to rewrite its menu in order to commemorate — or mock — Grassley's show of efforts:

An editor here at The Week pointed out that it would have been even more impressive were the café to have gone all out with their descriptions, too. "Obstruction Oats — Our rice milk chai oats play nicely with hemp nut granola. It's so delicious, you wonder how amazing it would be if we all worked together!"
