Top Republicans continue to distance themselves from Roy Moore, the Republican candidate for Senate in Alabama. On Tuesday, House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) said Moore should "step aside" from the race, after five women have come out to accuse the former judge of initiating inappropriate relationships with them when they were teenagers and he was in his early 30s. Ryan's remark echoed Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell's (R-Ky.) statement Monday that Moore should withdraw. On Monday, Beverly Young Nelson alleged Moore tried to rape her in his car after offering her a ride home from work. The New Yorker reported Tuesday that Moore had been banned from a local Alabama mall for pursuing teenage girls. Moore has mostly denied the allegations.
