The first ever official portraits of Britain's MPs have proved the cause of much mirth online.
Returning MPs and newcomers alike were snapped by photographer Chris McAndrew as part of a revamp of Parliament's official website.
MPs and peers were shot in atmospheric shadows against a stern grey backdrop, some of them clearly more comfortable than others. Liberal Democrat Tom Brake's gangling pose drew groans from one constituent:
