According to Auntie the Stateside club have told Ibrahimovic "they are prepared to make him the highest paid player in Major League Soccer history" if he signs for them in the summer.
The 35-year-old penned a one-year deal with United last summer and while he's had the time of his life at Old Trafford, scoring 26 goals along the way, the idea of a lucrative swansong could be attractive for Ibrahimovic.
Brazil forward Kaka remains the highest paid player in MLS history with a reported annual salary from Orlando City of $7.167m (£5.89m), but the BBC claims LA Galaxy will table a bid in excess of that amount. It's unclear the length of the contact presented to Ibrahimovic but the club "feels it has a realistic chance of signing the veteran frontman".
Monaco midfielder Bernardo Silva is being stalked by Real Madrid which could spell bad news for the two Manchester clubs. City and United have both sent their scouts to the south of France this season to run the rule over the 22-year-old playmaker, but now the Spanish giants have latched onto the Portugal international.
Talksport claims that the European champs are "preparing a formal approach" for Silva at the end of the season, although the broadcaster says that United "hold a first refusal option on him". It means that if Real do table a bid, the Red Devils will have to be notified and will only need to match the offer to take the Portuguese playmaker to Old Trafford.
As for what it will take to prise Silva from Monaco, Talksport claims that the French league leaders "are unlikely to consider selling him for any less than £44m".
Elsewhere and The Sun says that Marouane Fellaini is still mulling over the possibility of swapping Manchester for China next season. Rumours emerged last month to the effect that the Belgian midfielder had been approached by Tianjin Quanjian, and the Sun believes that Fellaini will reconsider their offer in the summer, as he approaches his 30th birthday.
Man Utd transfer news: Antoine Griezmann rejects move
8 March
There is bad news for Manchester United fans with a report in the Daily Express claiming that Atletico Madrid have "convinced" Antoine Griezmann to stay at the club next season. If true, states the paper, it represents "a major blow to Jose Mourinho's transfer plans" with the French frontman long earmarked as the Special One's marquee summer signing.
At the end of last year, rumours with as much momentum as Zlatan Ibrahimovic's elbow suggested that the 25-year-old Gallic goal machine had already agreed personal terms with United. But the Express, taking its cue from Spanish newspaper AS, claims that Griezmann is happy in Madrid and doesn't want to uproot to the other side of Europe.
United have reportedly resigned themselves to missing out on the Frenchman and have turned their attention to other targets, including Monaco marksman Kylian Mbappe and Robert Lewandowski of Bayern Munich.
However, it seems that Lewandowski, who helped his club inflict more misery on Arsenal on Tuesday evening, does not like the idea of being an alternative. The Manchester Evening News reports that when his agent, Maik Barthe, was asked if Lewandowski might sign for the Red Devils in the event that they missed out on Griezmann, he dismissed the idea, saying: "Does any top player in the world want to be a plan B?"
Man Utd transfer news: Toni Kroos ready to quit Real Madrid
7 March
Toni Kroos has revealed what it will take for him to join Manchester United next season - a barren season for his current employers, Real Madrid.
According to the Daily Star, which cites sources in Spain, the German playmaker will head to Old Trafford if Real "don't win a trophy this year". Apparently Kroos has become increasingly "frustrated" with life at the Bernabeu and is ready to seek a fresh challenge if the trophy cabinet winds up empty at the end of the season. And that is not an unthinkable outcome - out of the Copa Del Rey, Real trail Barcelona in La Liga and may have to rely on the Champions League as their best path to glory this season.
The Star says United manager Jose Mourinho is "very keen" on the German and is ready to splash the cash in the summer.
Meanwhile, The Sun says that Mourinho "is set to give Ander Herrera a new deal after a stunning season". The 27-year-old, who arrived at Old Trafford in 2014, is out of contract in May 2018 but according to the Sun the Spanish midfielder will have a one-year extension activated in his contract after impressing the gaffer.
Man Utd transfer news: Race to sign Donnarumma is underway
3 March
The prospect of goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma signing for the Red Devils in the summer has moved a step closer, reports Talksport, picking up on the claims of Italian outlet Calciomercato which says that the teenage goalkeeper is planning for his long-term future.
United "have held talks with Mino Raiola", the agent of the AC Milan goalie, and the 18-year-old is now firmly in their sights.
Donnarumma has just turned 18 and therefore "has the option to sign a contract for longer than three years", and that's caused United to step up their pursuit of the AC Milan star. Aware that several other clubs are monitoring his progress at the San Siro, United have made the first move by discussing a possible transfer with Raiola.
What's prompted this sudden interest in the youngster? United are aware that Real Madrid are once more circling David de Gea and Jose Mourinho apparently sees Donnarumma as the Spaniard's replacement. He won't come cheap, however, with Calciomercato suggesting that Milan "will not accept anything less than £42m".
Man Utd transfer news: Ibrahimovic wants two year deal
2 March
He's just won his first trophy at United and now Zlatan Ibrahimovic wants two more years at the club. That's according to the Daily Mirror with the paper giving the latest on the future of the 35-year-old marksman, whose goals helped United win the EFL Cup on Sunday.
Earlier in the week Ibrahimovic's agent was being cagey about the prospect of the Swede taking up the one-year option on his £300,000-a-week contract at Old Trafford, leading to rumours that he may be lining up a lucrative move elsewhere. But the Mirror says that Ibrahimovic is in fact "ready to commit himself to English football for even longer as he is loving life at United".
But he'll only sign on the dotted line if the Red Devils agree to offer him two more years and not just one, as was agreed when he initially signed for United last summer. According to the Mirror there has been significant interest from abroad, "with offers pouring in from Europe, China and Major League Soccer", and consequently Ibrahimovic and his representatives are prepared to "play hardball" with United in their quest for a two-year deal.

Man Utd transfer news: Everton open door to Rooney return
1 March
He turned down China last week but might Wayne Rooney still be thinking of leaving Old Trafford for a last hurrah at the club where it all began?
The Independent is one of several papers to report that Everton manager Ronald Koeman "has opened the door" for Rooney to return to Goodison Park, the club he left for United in 2004. Since then the England captain has scored a mountain of goals and lost a mop of hair but throughout it all he's never lost his love for his boyhood club, and it seems the 31-year-old player realises his time at Old Trafford under Jose Mourinho might be drawing to a close.
That's prompted Koeman to drop the biggest hint yet that a move to his first love could be on the cards. "What will happen at the end of the season? I don't know but in my opinion he is one of the players who can make Everton more stronger," the Dutchman said. "It's all about what the player likes, what Manchester United needs to do."
Asked if he was actively trying to lure Rooney from United, Koeman said "we are not involved in that project", but his words were echoed by Everton's director of football, Steve Walsh, who said of Rooney: "He started his career here and if the opportunity arose that he could come back and it sat well with everyone it is something we would consider."
Will Ibrahimovic quit this summer?
28 February
He's the toast of Old Trafford but could Zlatan Ibrahimovic's days be numbered at Manchester? Talksport has raised the possibility after it spoke with the stringy Swedish sharpshooter's agent, Mino Raiola, who refused to rule out the possibility of the striker leaving United.
The 35-year-old Ibrahimovic has scored 26 goals in 38 games this season, including a match-winning brace in Sunday’s EFL Cup final win over Southampton, but he's yet to sign the one-year extension that was included in the contract he penned last summer. When asked by Talksport if his client would take up the option of another season at Old Trafford, Raiola said: "I never speak about contract details with the press – I think that's something between the player, the club and myself."
Pressed on whether Ibrahimovic wanted to stay, Raiola gave cause for concern with his cagey response. "I don't disclude anything," he said. "Anything can happen and we will see what happens. I think we should keep it that way and just enjoy the moment."
Meanwhile, the Daily Express says that United have joined AC Milan in the pursuit of Cesc Fabregas. The Italians are believed to be the frontrunners to sign the Spanish playmaker, and reports from Italy suggest they are ready to table a £27m bid for Fabregas.
But according to the Express the 29-year-old is also being eyed up by Jose Mourinho, who continues to be "a big fan" of the player he brought to Chelsea from Barcelona in 2014.
Man Utd transfer news: De Gea to leave, Donnarumma lined up
27 February
Manchester United expect David de Gea to head home to Spain at the end of the season with the Red Devils already "planning for life" without the shotstopper they signed from Atletico Madrid in 2011.
The Sunday Express claims that de Gea will join Real Madrid in the summer with the Spanish giants determined to make him their their number one choice head of the current Keylor Navas.
Apparently United accept there is little they can do to stop De Gea signing for Real and that's why they have identified AC Milan "prodigy" Gianluigi Donnarumma as the man to replace him. The paper says that United manager Jose Mourinho has had his scouts watch Donnarumma (who turned 18 at the weekend) for weeks and a £40m offer will be tabled in June.
Mourinho is cautiously optimistic that he will land Donnarumma because his agent is Mino Raiola, who also looks after the interests of United players Paul Pogba, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
Meanwhile Goal.com reports that Juan Mata is "eyeing a new deal at Old Trafford". The Spanish playmaker is out of contract at the end of next season but the 28-year-old, who has made more than 100 appearances since arriving from Chelsea in 2014, is keen to extend his time with the club. "I have two years left on my contract and I would like to stay beyond that," Mata said. "I am happy here... I am thinking that the fans are amazing here even in the bad moments."
