Spurs transfer news: Dele Alli will not quit this summer
7 April
According to the Daily Mail Tottenham believe they have fought off interest from Real Madrid and Manchester City for Dele Alli.
The two clubs have both been stalking the 20-year-old midfielder in the hope of luring him away from White Hart Lane, but the Mail claims Spurs "are virtually certain of keeping Dele Alli this summer".

Alli has scored 18 goals in 41 matches this season and his form has caught the eye of Real gaffer Zinedine Zidane, who is said to be "keen to sign him". Money was no object for the Spanish giants but apparently the young playmaker believes his interests for the time being would be best served by staying loyal to the Lilywhites.
Meanwhile the Mail says that Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino has identified Middlesbrough's Ben Gibson as one of his priority signings in the summer. The central defender has been scouted by Spurs this season and Pochettino believes he has the skill set required for his squad
Spurs transfer news: Kondogbia to replace flop Sissoko?
6 April
Inter Milan's hopes of qualifying for the Champions League next season are all but over and that's good news for Spurs, who believe they may be able to land midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia in the summer.
Reports in Italy, from website Calciomercato, say that Spurs had their scouts in Italy on Monday as Inter lost 2-1 at home to Sampdoria, a defeat that dealt a mortal blow to their Champions League aspirations.
In contrast it's a shot in the arm for Spurs, who are one of a number of clubs tracking the 24-year-old Kondogbia. Chelsea were linked to him earlier in the season but with Antonio Conte now more interested in Southampton's Virgil van Dijk, their London rivals believe they have a clear run at a player who is equally at home as a defensive midfielder or as a central defender.
But who would Kondogbia replace at White Hart Lane? Spurs "already having four central midfielders vying for two positions", notes website HITC, with the likes of Victor Wanyama, Eric Dier, Mousa Dembele and Harry Winks all providing a similar skill set to the Frenchman.
But Kondogbia could be lined up as a replacement for a fifth such player on the Spurs books – his fellow countryman Moussa Sissoko - who has left fans "angry and disappointed" with his contribution this season.
"Might Spurs consider a potential swap move with Inter Milan, as a way of both offloading Sissoko and bringing down the price of their midfield target?"
The Daily Mirror says that Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino is tracking RB Leipzig midfielder Naby Keita with a view to a summer move. The 22-year-old has been a crucial figure this season in the German club's bid for Champions League qualification, scoring six goals and contributing eight assists to take Leipzig up to second place in the Bundesliga behind Bayern Munich.
German sources report that Tottenham scouts have been impressed with what they've seen of the young playmaker and a bid is in the pipeline from the Lilywhites.
Spurs transfer news: Wilfried Zaha set to quit Crystal Palace
4 April
Crystal Palace star Wilfried Zaha is ready to take flight from Selhurst Park, says The Sun, with the paper claiming that he is about "to reject a bumper new pay deal as Tottenham prepare to pounce" for his services.
Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino has been stalking the 24-year-old winger for months, and the prospect of playing in the Champions League next season is too tempting to turn down for Zaha, who saw his previous tilt at the big time with Manchester United go awry after he became a victim of the David Moyes car crash.
After that experience he returned to Selhurst Park where he has rebuilt his career. Palace chairman Steve Parish is prepared to offer the Ivory Coast international "a deal of around £100,000 a week" to keep him in south London, claims the Sun, but the Ivory Coast winger is adamant he wants to a second shot at joining the elite.
Tottenham's determination to sign Zaha was strengthened at the weekend as he played a starring role in the Eagles 2-1 defeat of leaders Chelsea and the bookies have made the Lilywhites odds-on favourites to sign him in the summer.
Mauricio Pochettino has brushed aside rumours suggesting Eric Dier could be tempted to leave for Old Trafford in the summer.

Spurs transfer news: Eric Dier rumour 'leaked by Man Utd'
31 March
It was reported earlier this week that Jose Mourinho had added the 23-year-old midfielder to his shopping list as he begins looking for a replacement for Michael Carrick. The veteran is coming to the end of his career and Mourinho believes that Dier would be the perfect replacement in the United midfield.
Talksport says that when asked about the gossip, the Tottenham manager responded: "I think a lot of rumours happen in this part of the season. There are a lot of players in and out. It's an open game where all is possible. I don't want to speak about rumours. If you speak about rumours it's right to speak on all the rumours."
The Daily Telegraph says that Spurs insiders believe that the rumours of United’s interest have been deliberately leaked this week in an attempt to "turn the player’s head" with the Red Devils aware that Dier would prefer to play in the midfield and not, as has been the case at White Hart Lane this season, in the back four.
Spurs transfer news: Five-way chase for striker Patrik Schick

Sampdoria hoping for a bidding war as Czech forward eyes Premier League - all the latest Tottenham transfer news and gossip
Five are going mad for Sampdoria striker Patrik Schick, reports Talksport but Tottenham, one of three Premier League clubs in the chase, are leading the way.
Arsenal and Chelsea are the other English sides to have sent their scouts to Serie A to check out the 21-year-old hitman, who comes with a £21.75m release clause in his contract. And two Italian outfits are also tailing the Czech forward, who arrived at Sampdoria from Sparta Prague last summer, and they are Juventus and Inter Milan.
Talksport cites sources in Italy reporting that Sampdoria are resigned to losing Schik at the end of the season, but they are trying to persuade him to sign a new deal in the coming weeks so that they can bump up his release clause prior to the start of bidding war.
Chelsea's interest has apparently waned since they decided to turn their attention to Alexis Sanchez, while Arsenal's chances have diminished as their league position has dropped - it's believed that Schick wants to join a club that can offer him Champions League football next season - hence Tottenham's status as favourites.
There is some surprising news for Spurs fans in the Daily Express, which claims that Chelsea have "reached an agreement" to sign midfielder Moussa Sissoko.
The Frenchamn arrived from Newcastle in a £30m deal last summer but the Express says that Mauricio Pochettino hasn't been impressed with what he's seen of the 27-year-old and "is ready to cut his losses".
The Blues were rumoured to have tried to sign Sissoko last summer after his displays in Euro 2016 but lost out to the Lilywhites. That doesn't seem to have dampened their ardour, however, and the Express, citing as its source Spanish TV station Telecinco, claim that Chelsea have reached a pre-agreement with Sissoko that will see him move to Stamford Bridge "in a cut-price deal worth between £12-18m".
Spurs transfer news: Could Chambers replace £40m Eric Dier?
29 March
Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino has a fight on his hands keeping hold of midfield lynchpin Eric Dier, reports the Daily Mail.
Manchester United have identified Dier as the man to replace another former Lilywhite at Old Trafford, Michael Carrick, and Jose Mourinho is said to be lining up a £40m bid.
The 23-year-old England man may be tempted to move on as he "is no longer guaranteed a starting spot in midfield following the arrival of Victor Wanyama from Southampton and has been moved back into defence as Pochettino switched to a 3-5-2", adds the paper.
However, problems between United and Daniel Levy, plus the emergence of Spurs as title contenders, may make a deal harder: "Any move United attempt to make will mean negotiating with Levy once more - something they have found difficult in the past."
Arsenal cannot be considered title contenders these days, so perhaps that is why Pochettino is eyeing up a Gunner to bolster his ranks.
The Tottenham boss is said to be "monitoring the future of Arsenal defender Calum Chambers", reports the Mail. "The 22-year-old, on loan at Middlesbrough, worked with Pochettino at Southampton" and a reunion could be on the cards.
The youngster, who has played in defence and midfield, could even be seen as a replacement for Dier.
The two London clubs are also set to fight it out for the hand of Schalke striker Patrik Schick, says The Sun.
The 21-year-old has been in fine form for Sampdoria but fancies a move to England. "Pavel Paska, the agent of the Czech Republic star, is in London to hold meetings with both clubs ahead of a potential move in the summer," says the paper.
