After The Washington Post and The New York Times reported Thursday night that an intelligence community whistleblower's complaint about President Trump's alarming interactions with a foreign leader involved Ukraine, Trump's lawyer Rudy Giuliani went on CNN for a chaotic interview in which he told Chris Cuomo he has lobbied Ukraine's government to investigate former Vice President Joe Biden, after denying he had done so just minutes earlier. Giuliani also said "some whistleblowers are liars," and after the interview, he tweeted that "a president telling a pres-elect of a well-known corrupt country he better investigate corruption that affects U.S. is doing his job," seeming to confirm widespread speculation that Trump pressured Ukraine's new president to produce dirt on Biden while withholding $250 million in military aid.
